Your at-home appointment: prepare the space, ask the rest

A hair appointment and another treatment may need different setups. Ask about space, lighting or a power socket, and which tools the provider brings. You don't need to buy equipment simply because it appears in an inspiration photo.

Allow room to move around the chair or treatment area and clear items you don't need from the working surface. If privacy matters to you, agree on the space in advance.

One reference image and a note about the result you want are enough to begin a conversation. If you would like a particular product used, ask ahead rather than assuming it suits every service.

Check the booked service and discuss any suggested additions. Clear expectations are more useful at the start than an unexpected difference halfway through.
