Before trying a beauty trend, ask three questions

A beautiful clip can introduce an idea you love. It doesn't mean every product and step belongs in your routine. Before buying or booking, pause for three questions.

Before trying a beauty trend, ask three questions

1. What actually caught my eye?

Was it the colour, the technique, or the lighting and mood of the image? If you love the feeling, you might interpret it using something you already own rather than copying the entire routine.

2. Is this a preference or a promise?

‘I love this shade’ is an opinion. A claim to treat a problem or guarantee a result needs a different kind of evidence. A beautiful presentation cannot replace a clear explanation of a product or service.

3. Does it fit my day?

Think about how much time you want to spend and which parts of a routine you enjoy. You don't have to choose a look that asks for maintenance you never wanted.

Keep the idea, lose the pressure

Save the image and return to it later. If you still like it, name the detail you want to try. A thoughtful choice can make beauty more enjoyable, not less.

This is an editorial framework for approaching beauty content, not a judgement about a particular trend or a substitute for specialist advice.
